The National Bank of Romania offers undergraduate students or graduate students attending a MA/MSc programme in the field of Economics or Law the opportunity to participate in internships. These internships aim to consolidate the theoretical knowledge acquired during their academic studies by providing practical experience.

The National Bank of Romania does not provide financial support to students. The status of intern at the National Bank of Romania does not confer an advantage when applying for a vacant position within the institution.
Eligibility criteria
- Students enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or Law, either in Romania or abroad;
- Good command of the English language;
- Must not have previously participated in an internship in the same field at the National Bank of Romania.

- Official document issued by the University where the candidate is enrolled, certifying the academic progress until the present time
- Official letter of recommendation from a supervisor/professor/mentor of the University where the candidate is enrolled in a Bachelor or Master degree.
Submission of documents
Applicants should send their documents to e-mail training@bnro.ro. Letters of recommendation can be sent directly by the recommending persons to the same e-mail address.
Notification of acceptance/rejection of application
The Human Resources Department communicates to each student the acceptance or rejection of his/her application, by e-mail, within maximum 3 working days after the receipt of the application.
Selection process
The selection process takes up to 15 working days from the receipt of the application and includes two steps:
- Preliminary selection analysis of the documents required for application;
- Selection interview.
Main selection criteria:
The assessment of students during the selection process is based on the following criteria:
- Academic results achieved during the degree program;
- Performance during the interview focusing on theoretical in the relevant business area.
Results communication
The result of the selection process will be communicated via e-mail.
Evaluation at the end of the Internship
Upon successful completion of the Internship, students will receive an Internship certificate from The National Bank of Romania.
